learning to fly
The universally shared wish that every small, fragile and innocent life has a space of love and hope next to it is the reason why Ala Guizzi has been supporting the Associazione Italiana per la Lotta contro il Neuroblastoma for years. As is often the case, one approaches such associations when one is personally involved. The Association was founded in 1993 on the initiative of some parents - whose children had been diagnosed with neuroblastoma - and the doctors who were treating them. The mission is to defeat this aggressive childhood cancer through research projects and innovative therapies, creating a nest of protection and safety around the child.
We embrace the idea of the nest, the place where birds raise their newborns, protecting them from external dangers, a temporary place, as we hope hospital rooms are, from which our babies can take flight to a normal, fearless life. For this to be possible, it’s essential that an ever-increasing number of people join awareness campaigns aimed at raising funds - guaranteed by the “Istituto Italiano della Donazione” which monitors the proper use of the funds raised.
We open Easter eggs again this year, trusting that there’ll be more and more surprises of remission from the disease, and more and more independence for each little one as it enters life.
