ala guizzi

We’re proud to enter a new era in our history. Ala Guizzi was founded in 1961, a completely different industrial era. We rode the Italian economic boom, and we can safely say we’ve weathered trends, styles, and political crises, adapting our production to the needs of our clients. We landed on the moon in 1969, weathered the energy crisis of 1973, and toyed with the idea of building the Star Wars Millennium Falcon in our factory; We won the 1982 World Cup, witnessed the end of the Cold War in 1989, and were thrilled with the advent of the Internet. We moved from a dark beginning of the century with the attack on the Twin Towers to liquid music. Then came the EU and Brexit, and the explosion of social networks and on-demand TV. And we rebuilt ourselves every time. Building again. Adapting our lean and compact structure to market options. “Still Steel”.

“Still Steel” is also the title of an exhibition by German artist Christine Liebich, on view in early 2026 at Palazzo Martinengo Colleoni - MoCA, Brescia. This alternative way of narrating the working of steel is achieved through a completely different final outcome of the material, but fundamentally with the same tools (milling machine, welder, sander). Liebich’s work narrates the excesses of modern architecture, where humans intervene to shape and modify the urban world, enhancing or destroying it. What is compelling is that the sculpture created absorbs the entire production process—the sweat and physical effort disappear into the work of art—intended to be “experienced” in a state of contemplative quiet; the artifacts that Ala Guizzi produces, with equal physical abnegation, become, conversely, predisposed to construct other objects in the world, to work again. “Still Steel”.

Transcribing history on paper makes the stages traversed concrete and palpable. It’s therefore necessary to fuel the narrative in order to continue developing research: for new employees, for those without professional experience who feel they can live a past on which to build a new future, for customers who recognise our guarantee in the years of our history. “Still Steel”.

We’re delighted to be able to share this new beginning, forging our 65 years of activity with a logo that will be synonymous with continuity, reliability and expansion for us and, we trust, for our customers.
